AR Trace is the free method: you draw the edges of a space or object in AR yourself. Live Scan is the premium method: you sweep the camera and dimensions are captured automatically, using scene depth and LiDAR when available. Both hand you dimensions you can edit before saving.

One complete Live Pack: Live Scan for the destination space and for the items in that same pack, so you can plan a whole space from capture to loaded plan. It is a full experience, not an allowance that expires mid-pack. The Live Pack is consumed only after a Live Scan is successfully saved — opening or cancelling a scan does not use it up.

Community browsing, reuse, and contribution remain free. No. PackPilot produces estimates using simplified geometry and heuristic packing strategies, and reports results as "Likely fits" with an estimated utilization. It is a planning aid — verify dimensions, weight, stability, and safe loading before you move or transport items.

PackPilot plans by dimensions, shape, and the constraints you set (such as heavy, fragile, or keep accessible). It does not calculate weight distribution, axle loads, or vehicle load limits. Always follow your vehicle's load ratings and safe-loading guidance.

Yes. No account is required for private packs. Your packs, spaces, and items are stored on your device.

An opt-in catalog of vehicle trunks and common packing spaces and items shared by PackPilot users. You can browse and reuse shared scans and contribute your own. Browsing, reuse, and contribution are free.

No. Private scans stay on your device. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly choose to contribute a scan, and every contribution is moderated before anyone else can see it.

The approved scan record: dimensions, type, category, model label, provenance, verification state, and approved contributor attribution. A contribution does not include photos, location, free-typed text, or precise identity.

Yes. Community entries can be corrected, reported, and removed. Entries are moderated and retained so they can be kept accurate; you can request removal of something you contributed.

Yes. Restore Purchase is available in the app. Pro Lifetime is tied to your Apple ID and restores permanently on any device signed in with the same account. A 30-Day Project Pass restores while its 30-day access period is still valid; it does not auto-renew, and reinstalling the app does not create another complimentary Live Pack.

Re-check the captured dimensions in the confirmation sheet and adjust anything that looks off, or type the real numbers for a tight pack. For a Community entry, use Suggest a correction or Report entry so it can be reviewed.
